Marilyn McDaniel, 99, of Palo Alto, died May 8, 2023, at her home.  She was born April 10, 1924, in Santa Barbara, California to Edwin M Graham and Beatrice (Pollard) Graham.  She spent her early years in Santa Barbara and then moved to Fallbrook, California and attended Fallbrook HS.  She married O.C. McDaniel Jr in 1942 and later divorced.  She then moved to the Bay Area to be with family and find work.  She worked for Lenkurt Electric and then Hewlett Packard until her retirement.  She loved to travel, was an avid cook, seamstress, and gardener.  She is survived by three children, Ronald (Ginnie) McDaniel, Darleen Walters (Jim Bennett), Kimberli (Robert) Fuller and three grandchildren, Rhonda Pierce, Corey McDaniel, Kyle McDaniel, four great grandchildren, one great niece and several great grand nephews.

The love of Marilyn's life and partner Albert Klay preceded her in death by 6 days.  Marilyn was also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Harriet and twin Carolyn, three nieces, Sandy, Suzanne, and Leslie, one nephew Mark and one grandson A. Scott Santos.

A Memorial Service will be held July 26th, 4 pm at the Peninsula Bible Church, 3505 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto.  Spangler's Mortuary is helping to handle the arrangements.
