Bill passed away peacefully on August 20th surrounded and supported by his loving family. Our "leftover firecracker" was born and raised in San Francisco. Born on July 5, 1928, he attended St. Anne of the Sunset, St. Ignatius High School and graduated from USF (1950). Bill was a loving and devoted husband to Joan for over 59 years and the adored father of Bill (Nancy), Bob (Nicole), Tom (Julie), Joanne (John (d)), Brian (Annamarie), Joe (d) (Cathy), Carol (Jim) and Kathy (Tony) and best grandfather to 21 beloved grandchildren. Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. Bill was an executive with PTT/ATT and retired as a Division Manager after 40 years of service. He enjoyed golf, watering the yard, his birthday, a cold bottle of beer, family vacations, the SF Giants and traveling to "The Islands." His greatest love was his wife Joan and attending every event involving each of his children and grandchildren. Bill was a lifelong active member of the Catholic community. We will celebrate Bill's life with a Rosary on Sunday, August 24th at 5 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church, Los Altos, California.
