Obituary of William Gale Martin

William Gale Martin Jr. January 28, 1942 - October 17, 2008 William Gale Martin Jr. was born in Los Angeles, California on January 28, 1942 and passed away on October 17, 2008. As a teenager, Bill could often be found hanging out with his friends at the California Speedway. His love of cars continued throughout his life and he became a die-hard NASCAR fan, watching the races on television almost every Sunday. Bill moved to Sunnyvale in 1972 with his wife, Linda, to start a family and was a loving and supportive father, husband, and companion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou.Bill is survived by his daughter, Tannas, son, Sean, sister, Kathy, and longtime friend and companion, Susan Carlson. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 11 a.m. at Spangler Mortuary at 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94086. Cremation will take place on Wednesday and his ashes released to the family.
