Vincent peacefully passed away in his sleep
Early Tuesday Morning at Santa Clara Kaiser Hospital.
Vincent was a Loving Husband to Dolores Anne Cortez His Wife of 62 years
A Loving Father to His Sons Vincent Cortez Jr. and John Cortez
And A Loving Brother In-law to John R. Espinosa and Richard D. Espinosa.
Preceded in death by his Wife Dolores Anne Cortez,
Parents Bernardo Cortez and Mary Julian-Cortez,
Father/Mother in law John B. Espinosa and Antoinette F. Espinosa,
Sisters Frances Marie Cortez-Fortino and Theresa Cortez.
Survived by his Sons Vincent Cortez Jr. and John Cortez,
Brother In-laws John R. Espinosa and Richard D. Espinosa
And Sister Marie Isabel White
Vincent was born in Morgan Hill and grew up in Gilroy. After a short stint in the National Guard he moved to Mountain View after meeting and marring Dolores Anne Espinosa. Vincent worked as a Janitor for various companies before starting a
Janitorial Business with his Father In-law John B. Espinosa. In the late 80's the business was dissolved and he became a facilities manager for Computer Curriculum Corporation in Sunnyvale until his retirement. In retirement Vincent volunteered for the Community Service Food Bank in Mountain View and worked part time for the Santa Clara Sheriff Dept. doing event security at Stanford University in Palo Alto.
Vincent loved going to car shows, races, air shows, train trips, museums and on several road trips with the family. Loved going to the library, and doing crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching mysteries and comedies on PBS.
Loved all our cat's and any other animal that wandered into his life.
Vincent was a proud member of the Native Sons of the Golden West, Mountain View Historical Association, Vintage Mustang Owners Association, Nor-Cal Shelby American Automobile Club and National Railway Historical Society.

A Memorial Service will be presented by Father Brian Dinkel from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Santa Clara and The Native Sons Of the Golden West will present a Funeral Ritual.
Vincent will be Laid to Rest in a Private Ceremony.
