Obituary of Thomas Richard Anderson

Thomas Richard Anderson, 66, passed away on December 26, 2012 at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California. He was born on June 11, 1946 in Joliet Illinois to Richard and Adele Anderson Tom grew up in Joliet, Illinois where he graduated from Joliet Catholic High School. After high school, he proudly served in the U.S Army. Tom attended De Anza College in Cupertino, California. He worked at Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies as a Computer System Analyst for 35 years. Tom married Jean in 1968. They were happily married for 44 years. Tom was a Boy Scout Leader, a Life member of Telephone Pioneers of America, Member of Joliet American Legion Band, member of the American Legion, and a U.S. Army Vietnam Era Veteran. He enjoyed going on adventures with his four grandchildren, camping, traveling, and he was an avid San Jose Sharks fan. Tom is survived by his wife Jean of Sunnyvale, California; His daughter Carrie (Ted) Tahquechi of Santa Cruz, California; His son Brian (Sarah) Anderson of San Jose, California: His mother Adele Anderson of Joliet, Illinois; His brothers Chuck (Carol) Anderson of Morton, Illinois; and John (Debbie) Anderson of Naperville, Illinois; His grandchildren Jarren, Jorden, Alanna and Riley; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Tom was preceded in death by his father Richard K. Anderson and his sister Carol Billinger. A funeral service will be held at Spanglers Mortuary, 174 North Sunnyvale Avenue Sunnyvale , CA 94086 at 6:00 PM January 6, 2013. Committal Ceremony will be held at 12:30 PM on January 7, 2013 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
