With profound grief and sadness, we inform you that our dear mother Mrs. Syamala Devi Penna, departed to her eternal abode on Wednesday morning at 5.50 PM, Pacific Time at the Cupertino Healthcare and Wellness, Cupertino, CA.

Born on May 16, 1934 in Hyderabad, India, Mrs. Syamala, married the late Satyanarayan Rao Penna in February 1948. She has lived in Hyderabad, Mysore, and Bhubaneswar in India besides spending long years in the USA in North Brunswick, NJ, Portland, OR and Cupertino, CA.

A curious mind with an insatiable zest for learning, Syamala believed in being emotionally strong, always positive and highly collaborative in all her dealings with people. She spoke, read and wrote in five languages and was always a strong and positive role model.

She leaves behind her daughter and son in law (Shailaja and Giri Pasumamula of Portland, OR), her son and daughter in law (Rajendra and Geetha Penna of Cupertino, CA and two grandsons, Pranav Penna and Ajay Pasumamula besides her two siblings, Dr. Narayan Rao Pasumamula and Dr. Ramchander Rao Pasumamula of Hyderabad India. The third child of the Late Narasimha Rao Pasumamula and Late Lalitha Bai Pasumamula she leaves behind a huge void for her many nephews and nieces, her cousins and uncles and a myriad friends the world over.

May she attain eternal peace.
