Obituary of Susan Kay Pippin
Susan Kay Pippin of San Jose, passed away peacefully, August 3, 2011. Born December 15, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Max and Elizabeth Elsom. Beloved wife of 45 years to Dennis Pippin. Susan is also survived by her son, Ted Pippin and her daughter, Suzanne Pippin Gunderson. She was a devoted grandmother to Sydney and A.J. Gunderson and Kaylee and Morgan Pippin and a loving sister to Carol Hill. Susan worked for 34 years at Lockheed-Martin in Sunnyvale. She loved spending time boating, a world traveler, a sports enthusiast, enjoyed the fine arts and was an avid reader. She was a ghost writer for several authors, having been published many times. Friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4:00 PM until 7:00, Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Sunnyvale Chapel of Spangler Mortuaries, 174 N. Sunnyvale Avenue in Sunnyvale. A vigil will be held 7:00 PM the same day in the mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, Leota and Washington Streets in Sunnyvale. Burial will follow at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, in Palo Alto. The family requests in lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made in Susan's name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P. O.
