Stephen John Wakshinsky's Obituary
Stephen John Wakshinsky passed away peacefully at Palo Alto Commons on July 1, 2022 at the age of 71 after a brief illness. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY to John and Joan Wakshinsky in May 1951. Stephen and his family lived in Huntington Station, NY where he graduated from Walt Whitman High School.
After working in NY for several years, Stephen relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970's where he lived for the rest of his life. Stephen was employed for many years with Draeger's Market.
He cared for several family pet cats and dogs over the years and one of his favorites was his Boxer Heather who was a great companion. Stephen enjoyed traveling, great restaurants and spending time with friends and family.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father John. He is survived by his mother Joan, and sisters Laura Jean (Tom) and Susan (Dean). Stephen was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
