Shirley Ann Zarevich Kiley, a resident of Mountain View, California, peacefully passed away on March 17, 2025. She was born on April 2, 1938 in San Jose, California, to John J. Zarevich and Katherine Buyak Zarevich, immigrants from southern Croatia. Shirley took great pride in her Croatian heritage. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Sharon Chuck, and her beloved husband of 58 years, Leon "Lee" Kiley.

Shirley was known for her talents in cooking, crafts, and gardening, treating her family to Croatian specialties from the kitchen, sewing clothes for her children when they were young as well as making some of her own fashions, and creating beautiful gardens wherever she lived. She was an avid piano player and could pick out tunes by ear, often adding a polka beat just for fun. She held various jobs outside the home over the years, most notably as a nurse's aide in a hospital, as she enjoyed taking care of people.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Lee Anne Ward (Leon "Buddy"), Sandra "Sandi" Johnson (John), and William "Bill" Kiley (Kristie), seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and extended family members in California and Croatia.

The service and interment were private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Spangler Mortuary, Mountain View. The family suggests any memorials be made to your favorite charity.
