Obituary of Shirley Ruth Carle

Shirley Ruth Carle (nee Chambers), loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 19, 2012 in Sunnyvale, CA. Shirley was born in Kingston, New York on June 4, 1929, beloved daughter of George Chambers and Jennie Niles and beloved sister of Frances Rymer, Robert Chambers and Kieford Chambers. (all predeceased) She attended and graduated Kingston High School and was employed by St. John Insurance in Kingston until she was married and started a family with Joseph Carle. In 1980 both moved to California to be near their daughter and to enjoy a milder climate. Shirley enjoyed reading and staying informed about all current news and entertainment topics but her main joy in life was making a comfortable and pleasant home for her family. She is survived by her husband Joseph M. Carle, two daughters Susan Carle and Wendy Carle and one grandson, Shane Anderson. She also leaves several dear nieces and nephews in Kingston. She is greatly loved and missed and will forever be in our hearts. Services and viewing will be held on Monday, October 29, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Spangler Mortuary in Sunnyvale, 174 N. Sunnyvale Avenue (408) 736-6294. Interment will follow at Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Rd., San Jose.
