Obituary of Sean Christopher Perry
Sean Christopher Perry, age 29 Died at his home in Palo Alto of natural causes on April 4, 2009. Sean held a Master's Degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo. He was currently working for the Tell Me division of Microsoft Corporation. Sean was a multi talented person, who created original ceramic sculptures using Raku firing techniques and metallic glazes, loved cooking ethnic dinners from scratch for friends and family, spoke Japanese and spent time in Japan teaching English to students from ages 4 to 72. He studied martial arts, most recently Krav Maga, the Israeli defense training. His creativity extended to designing costumes and creating industrial-techno music using Garageband. Sean had the most wonderful sense of humor, finding hilarity in bad movies, and even worse jokes. He had a deep devotion for his family and a wide variety of friends and extended his caring spirit into the world of civil rights. Sean Perry considered himself to be a renaissance geek who will be grievously missed. He is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Laurel Perry of Palo Alto, his grandmother, Paula Strand of Grants Pass, Oregon, his aunt and uncle, Melanie Strand and Don Miller of Galt, his step-grandmother, Jeanine Gross of Los Angeles, and his step-uncles Jeff Meshorer, Dennis Meshorer, and Neil Meshorer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 11th, 12 noon, at Spangler Mortuary, 799 Castro Street, Mountain View.
