Rosalie Mattevi was born in San Francisco on February 26, 1925 and passed away peacefully in Mountain View on March 4, 2019. Rosalie was married to Aldo Mattevi for 49 years until his death in 1995. She is survived by her children Linda (Jim) Dahl and Gary (Sharla) Mattevi; grandchildren Nicholas (Jessica) Hord; Alexander (Holly) Mattevi and Emily Mattevi, and great granddaughters, Reagan and Madison Hord. She is predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Annie Draga, brothers, Carmelo, Geno, Albert and Robert and sister Josephine. She is survived by her sister, Marie.

Rosalie was raised in Mountain View where she attended grammar school and high school. During the summer months, she packed cherries, cut apricots and picked prunes. The money she made was used to buy school clothes. Her dad's business required the family to move back to San Francisco during her senior year and she graduated from Balboa High School in 1943.

Rosalie returned to Mountain View in 1953 and resided in her home for 62 years. She worked at Bank of America and later at Mancini Motors. In retirement, she did volunteer work at St. Williams Catholic Church, and with the Sunnyvale Quota Club. Rosalie was on the auxiliary board and volunteered at Villa Siena for 11 years before she became a resident in 2015. She made friends easily and will be missed at the Villa.

Rosalie loved to garden and was especially proud of her roses and orchids. She and her husband loved to travel with friends to many different places including her favorite, Hawaii. She leaves many lifelong friends with memories of fun times they shared.
