Obituary

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Richie Geno.

Born into a family of nine and raised in Los Altos, California, he was the cherished only son among six sisters. He attended St. Nicholas ElementarySchool, where he also served as an altar server at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He later attended St. Francis High School in Mountain View, where he was a talented athlete, playing both football and baseball.

He went on to attend the University of California, Irvine, where he especially enjoyed studying philosophy and became an avid reader. Those who knew him remember him as very intelligent, quick-witted, and effortlessly charming. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and a natural ability to make people feel encouraged and valued.

Blessed with striking good looks, deep blue eyes, and a warm personality, he was well-liked by classmates and friends alike. He loved music, travel, laughter, meaningful conversation, and making memories with those around him. His curiosity about life and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Above all, he was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his parents, Joan and Richard, and his devoted sisters, Debbie, Kitty, Lauren, Jodi, and Stephanie. He was preceded in death by his beloved eldest sister, Jennifer “Noni,” who we trust welcomed him home with open arms.

He was laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Los Altos, nestled in the rolling green foothills he knew and loved—a peaceful resting place reflecting the beauty of the surrounding mountains and the community he called home.

We will always remember his brilliant mind, infectious laugh, generous heart, and the joy he brought to those around him. May perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in the peace of Christ until we are together again.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
