Obituary of Rebecca Ann Millar

Rebecca Ann Millar, 52, passed away September 10, 2015, after a long illness with cancer. She was born to Robert & Verlene Millar on December 13, 1962, in Sacramento, California, the youngest of five children. She served a LDS mission in Hawaii, and there she developed a great love for the people and culture. She completed a bachelor degree from the California State University, Monterey Bay, in graphic design.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Verlene Millar, and by her brother, John Millar. She is survived by her son, Peter Millar, her father, Bob Millar, her brother, Jim Millar, and sisters Mary Zippro and Roberta Vratari. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews - they loved their Aunt Becky.

Rebecca loved the beach - one of her favorite things to do was to go to Santa Cruz and eat fish & chips on the pier. Rebecca had a wonderful positive outlook on life. If something went wrong, she would say, "Wouldn't this make a great story!" She had a wicked sense of humor that kept us all laughing. Rebecca adored her son, Peter - he was the light of her life. We love you and miss you, Rebecca. Aloha.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15th, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 190 Jordan Avenue, Los Altos, California. The viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the funeral at 12:00 noon. Interment following at Oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, California.
