Obituary of Patricia Forbush Price

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Oma), sister, and friend -- Patricia passed away peacefully the morning of February 20 with family by her side, holding her hands. Patricia was born on January 5, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to loving parents, Everett and Geneva Forbush. She and her sisters enjoyed music and many of the outdoor activities Utah has to offer, such as skiing and horseback riding. She attended the University of Utah before marrying Vernon Price, the handsome boy who lived around the corner. They were married on September 1, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and spent their honeymoon years in Salt Lake, San Diego, and Coeur d'Alene before settling in the Bay Area to raise their seven children. With Vernon, Patricia created a home filled with love, books, and music. A beautiful pianist, she was the church organist for several years and always played the baby grand for the family at home. She had a bright smile that lit up her entire face. Her "I love you" was heartfelt because she always said what she meant and meant what she said. Her children, especially, will remember a lifetime of love, support, and care, and a cheery "thank you for calling!" at the end of every phone call. She is survived by her adoring husband of 64 years, Vernon Price; her loving children Gayle Price, Mary Price, Karen Zensius, Judy Miller, Paul Price, Martha Siegel, and Gwen McLean, along with their wonderful spouses and partners; nine incredible grandchildren and four beautiful great-grandchildren. She's also survived by her sisters Donna Nelson and Colleen Gentry and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Steven Price. A service will be held at noon on Monday February 25, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 10270 S Stelling Road, Cupertino, California. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at El Camino Hospital for their kindness and efforts, and to our neighbors and friends for their love and support. The Price family will never forget you.
