Ming Duenn Ni passed away at home in Palo Alto, CA on December 17, 2023. He was born in Taiwan on July 24, 1944, to Wen Ching Ni and Tong Lee, the 5th of 8 children. He attended National Taiwan University, before coming to the United States to study Electrical Engineering, obtaining his PhD at the University of Texas at Austin. Ming married his wife of over 50 years in 1972 and had 3 children. He specialized in integrated circuit designs for many years in Texas and California, settling in Palo Alto and subsequently starting his own company, Atelic, Inc., before retiring.

In retirement, Ming pursued his interests, which included following the stock market, investing in real estate, and keeping current with world news. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren, where he ensured the best education for his children and grandchildren.

Ming was preceded in death by his 4 older brothers. He is survived by his 3 younger siblings, his wife, Ann, his daughter, Karen Ni-Jones, sons, Karl Ni and Kevin Ni, and his grandchildren, Evan, Samantha, Clark, and Olivia.
