Obituary of Merry A. Pippin

Merry A. Pippin, Native of San Francisco, Resident of Sunnyvale, passed away peacefully July 10, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 13, 1923, daughter of Juan and Isabella Carrasco. Married Eldon D. Pippin for nearly 62 years. Survived by son, Dennis Pippin, grandchildren Ted Pippin, Suzanne Thomas, Shelly Lang, Andrew Mattus, Shannon Swift and Stacey Anderson, 16 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by sister, Anne Carrasco, brother John Carrasco, sister Adeline Sanchez and her dear daughter Peggy Ann Pippin Worked for Purity Stores in San Francisco. Moved to Sunnyvale in 1954. Worked for Westinghouse 8 years and retired from Western Electric for over 20 years. Has done many hours of volunteer work with Faith in Action, Rotating Shelter 17 years, St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Cyprian for over 35 years and also helped with Sunnyvale Community Center and made countless meals for the homeless and elderly. She has traveled extensively all over the world with her husband and family. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation beginning at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15 at Spangler Mortuary, at 174 N. Sunnyvale Avenue in Sunnyvale where a Rosary is to be held at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is to be held at St. Cyprian Catholic Church at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 16 at Leota Ave at Washington Ave., Sunnyvale. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Merry's memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, in care of St. Cyprian Catholic Church, Leota Avenue at Washington Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086.
