Obituary of Marjorie M. Hodel
Born on February 21, 1931, in Morton, IL to Joseph and Lydia Strunk. Passed away peacefully at home, on February 26, 2017, at the age of 86. She is survived by her husband Jim Hodel, son Mike Hodel (Gayle Assetto), daughter Karen Hodel (Joe Horodyski) and granddaughter Jennifer Hodel.
Marge graduated from Morton High School in 1949; received her Registered Nursing degree at Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL; married her high school sweetheart, Jim, in 1954; and worked at a variety of hospitals while Jim was stationed throughout CA while in the Navy. Marge and Jim have lived in Palo Alto since 1961.
Her love of Nursing was evident throughout her life and the true joy of her life was her family and especially her Granddaughter Jennifer.
A memorial will be held on Monday, March 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Menlo Church, 950 Santa Cruz Ave., Menlo Park.
