Marilyn Smalley died peacefully in her sleep on November 17, 2019. She was 86 years old.

Marilyn was caring, generous, and intelligent. Like most mothers she put the needs of her family ahead of her own; and, she worked hard so that her children's lives would be better than her own.

Marilyn retired from the Whisman School District after spending 30 years in food service supervising the preparation of student meals. Her kindness was on full display as she made sure that no child went hungry. She remained lifelong friends with those that worked for her.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 65 years, their 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Marilyn was deeply loved and will be missed.
