Louise passed away peacefully with family by her side. She is survived by Robert, her husband of 57 years, three children, Tom, Jim and Ann, and six grandchildren, Tim, Justin, Lilly, Bobby, Daniel and Melody Vivian, a sister, Sister Josephine (Gloria) Oldani of St. Louis MO, and a brother Rev. Louis Oldani S.J. of Kansas City MO. She was preceded in death by son Joseph. Louise was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She worked for the local utility company (Union Electric) as a writer and representative in Advertising and Public Relations. She married in 1956 and later left her career to become a full time mother and homemaker. The family was transferred several times, going to Washington, DC, back to St. Louis, then to Rye Town, NY. Their final move was in 1973, to Los Altos, CA. When her youngest child was in high school, Louise took on a second career, working for over ten years as an administrative assistant for Spectra Physics. Louise had many interests including bridge, playing classical piano music, excellent cooking, worldwide travel and volunteer work. In recent years she volunteered her time for Lucille Packard children's hospital, Community Services of Mountain View/Los Altos, and also faithfully served her parish church, St. William of Los Altos as a choir member, Ladies Bridge Chairman, and in the Altar Society, Renew, and other activities. Louise specified that in lieu of flowers, donations could be sent to Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County or Community Services Agency of Los Altos/Mountain View. Memorial mass will be held at St. William Church at 11am on Saturday with reception following in the parish center.
