Obituary

Louise Migliozzi
Feb. 9, 1923 – Feb 17, 2026

Louise Migliozzi passed away peacefully at her home, as she wished, having just
celebrated her 103 rd birthday. Louise is the daughter of the founder of the former
Homestead Ravioli Co (formed in 1917). She was born and raised in San Francisco,
where she lived every day of her 103 years. Louise is the loving mother of son Johnny
(Beverly); she is predeceased by her husband Joseph (Jojo), brother James Lavezzoli
and sister-in-law Marie. She is aunt to Steve (Marli) and Nancy, and loving cousin to
Julia Vari (nee Botto) and Giorgio Bellochio (Sonia) of Genoa and Garbarino, Italy.

Louise cherished all things Italian and enjoyed many visits back to her family's ancestral
area of Genoa, Italy, and surrounding hill towns.

Louise graduated from Commerce High in San Francisco. She enjoyed the World's Fair
(1939-40) and had fond memories of dances at Treasure Island. She enjoyed Italian
parties, like the Balilla Club, with friends and, especially, dancing at them.

She lived in her home for 98 years, and was very proud of her abilities as a homemaker.
Her phone number remained the same all these years, starting with the old "Valencia"
exchange. She spent many wonderful times with her cousin Julia growing up in San
Francisco. They both worked part-time at Homestead Ravioli and spent their earnings
on shoes and records. (Louise especially loved shopping for shoes all her life.) She
enjoyed visits to Julia's parents' home in Los Altos, where both families picked and
dried apricots from trees on the property.

She and Jojo enjoyed summers at their home at Lake Tahoe. They traveled the world
with friends and relatives, and enjoyed many cruises. She especially liked visiting her
relatives in Italy.

Louise loved her beautiful backyard garden, which was tended to by Piero Dito, her
"second" son. Every Tuesday Piero prepared delicious Italian lunches for Louise and
Johnny.

Over the years with friends and family, there were many fun lunches and dinners at the
St. Francis Yacht Club, including holiday dinners and anniversary / birthday
celebrations.

Louise celebrated her 103 rd birthday on Feb. 9. She enjoyed wonderful health until very
recently. Blame it on the raviolis, healthy Italian cuisine (her parents grew vegetables in
the back yard) and her determination to do it all "Her Way"!

Buon viaggio and may it be a peaceful and beautiful journey. We will miss you.

Services will be held on Feb. 26 at Spangler Mortuary in Los Altos.
