Obituary of Louie A. Pellegrini

Louie A. Pellegrini II died October 12, 2013. He was 87 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Vera Pellegrini, son Louie Pellegrini III (Bonnie), and daughter Teresa Patrone (Ron). Grandchildren: Brandon (Angela), Thomas, Andrew, Angelina and Emily. Great-grandchildren: Allie, Isaiah, Grace and Samson. He is pre-deceased by his grandson Louie Pellegrini IV (Kelli). A bay area native, he was born in San Francisco, lived in Menlo Park and eventually settled in Los Altos in 1966. After high school Louie went to work as a garbage man. He took great pride in the garbage business and leaves us as an industry icon. He became the owner of Peninsula Sanitary Service, Inc. in 1957, serving the Stanford University Community for over 50 years, leaving it a family legacy. He loved to hunt deer and ducks and treasured his time spent at the family ranch. Louie was a charter member of the Los Altos Rod and Gun Club, a member of the San Jose Antique Bottle Club, the Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors and a lifetime NRA Member. Louie, never at a loss for words, shared his opinions freely and colorfully. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service will be held on October 22 at 12:30 pm at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos, CA 94024
