Linda was born to Harlan William and Lida Lee (Frederick) Fogle in Washington, Indiana and grew up in Loogootee, Indiana until the family moved to Sunnyvale in 1948. She attended the old McKinley Elementary School when it was located in downtown Sunnyvale, and attended Fremont High School where she was one of the original Featherette's and active in the choir. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1955.

A month after graduating, Linda attended a beach party with a girlfriend where she met her future husband, Bill. The couple was married the following April.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Bill, and their three children, Lynn Zigmant, William H., and Shelby; her sister G. Kay Tanner of Elko, Nevada; grandchildren Lindsay and Dylan Zigmant, and several nieces and nephews.

When all three of her children started school, Linda began attending college courses at West Valley College where she received her AA degree, and furthered her education by attending Notre Dame college where she received her BS and MBA degrees.

Linda worked for various electronic companies in the valley as a buyer, ending her career and retiring from SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center). Linda was active in Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and Amaranth. Linda loved to sing and was a member of the Peggy McMurray Singers, Cupertino Choraliers and a small ensemble
group called the Chocolatiers.

A memorial for Linda will be held August 17th at Sunnyvale United Methodist Church located at 535 Old San Francisco Road at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
