The much-loved Leo Giannecchini passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2023. Leo was born in San Francisco on June 4 th , 1932 to the late Linda and Louis Giannecchini.

He was a graduate of Jefferson High School, attended the College of San Mateo, and served in the U.S. Army Corps.

Leo had a most interesting and loving 91 years of life and his family was the most important part of those years.

From early years of playing baseball with the Dodgers, to meeting his wife Delva of 62 years, to the birth of his son, Gregory Giannecchini and daughter, Juli Delfino, to becoming a grandfather to Dominic Giannecchini, Amanda Camillo, Danielle Giannecchini, Nicolas Delfino, and Gianna Delfino were the most joyous times for him.

He was a very talented wood carver, artist, carpenter, and an absolute joy to be with. He will be so very strongly and lovingly missed. His memory will always bring our hearts joy. May you rest in peace Papa…

Family, Relatives, and Friends are invited to attend his service at noon on November 11, 2023 at Spangler Mortuary, 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave, Sunnyvale 94086. Parking available one block past the mortuary at Martin Murphy Jr. Historical Park. Please join the family at a luncheon reception following the service.
