Kallol Kanti Bose, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 15th, 2024 in his home in Los Altos.

Born in Patna, Bihar in India on January 7th 1942, Kallol lived a long and fulfilling life. He was a self-made man with a charming smile. Professionally, he led large construction engineering projects such as power plants and coin mints in India and Europe, finishing his career as Deputy General Manager in MECON, India Ltd. He is survived by his loving wife, Mallika Bose, his daughters Satarupa Bose, Suchetana Mukherjee, and grandchildren Dhruv Bose Iyer and Rishab Bose Iyer. Kallol was cherished by his family for his generous spirit and sense of humor. He was very attached and had an especially close bond with his daughters. He will also be dearly missed by his surviving sister and large extended family of nephews, nieces, and their families.

He had a zest for life which took him traveling all around the world and exploring new places. He loved to discover and enjoy new foods especially sweets, and treat others to his favorite foods.

He had a gift for connecting with people of all ages and made unlikely friendships. His friends described him as mischievous with a Mona Lisa smile. He was a selfless individual and helped everyone in their time of need and forged lifelong friendships.
