Obituary

Joseph Daniel (Joe) Pierron, 55, of San Jose, passed away on June 15, 2024. He was born August 25, 1968 in San Jose, California; the third of four children to F. F. "Pete" Pierron and Carole L (DeTomasi) Pierron.

Joe attended elementary school in San Jose, including at St. Christopher School, and graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School. He then attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Joe worked as an Engineer at Underwriters Laboratories, and most currently as a Safety Engineer for Lockheed Martin Space Systems. He was a valued and appreciated colleague.

Joe will be greatly missed by his family, including his loving wife Julie (Duggan) Pierron and his daughters Abigail and Riley. In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his brothers Michael Pierron (Amy Hutzel) and Paul Pierron (CJ Wells), his nephews Max and Jake Pierron and his niece Brooklyn Wells. Joe was preceded in death by his sister Annette Pierron and his first wife Margaret (Graul) Pierron.

Joe was a devoted husband and father. He loved the outdoors, including mountain biking, hiking and camping. Joe demonstrated his love for his children by coaching soccer, volunteering at St. Lucy School and sharing his enthusiasm for celebrating holidays, riding bikes, skateboarding and all things Legos and Star Wars. He enjoyed planning family vacations, with his favorite destinations being Disneyland, Legoland, Yosemite and Hawaii. Joe made friends easily and will be missed by many.

A funeral mass will be celebrated for him on Monday, July 15 th at 11am at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 2350 S Winchester Blvd, Campbell, followed by the burial at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery and a reception.
