Obituary of JoEtta Mary Segrue
Loving...with her whole heart, without reservations Thoughtful...kind words, warm smiles, a genuine embrace, and of course cookies Devoted...her life with the Lord, nurturing family, enduring friendships Caring...a gentile comforter and listener Creative...an eye for beauty and style with interior decorating, flower arranging, and landscaping Survived by husband Jim Segrue, children Justin Wall (Lisa), Kelly Farnsworth (Paul), step-sons Philip (LeeAnn), Glenn (Dee Dee), and grandchildren Peter Farnsworth, Amanda Segrue, Jaxson Wall, Donovan Farnsworth, Carly Wall, Avery Farnsworth, Owen Wall, Molly Segrue, and brother Gary (Jean) Friesen. JoEtta was born in the small farm town of Meade, Kansas on June 17, 1943. As the youngest of the four children, and with three older brothers, Arlie, Jim, and Gary, she quickly earned the nickname "Tricky", for her sweet yet mischievous nature. She spent her young and young adulthood on the farm, and later attended a teachers' college in Kansas. In lieu of a career as a school-teacher, her path led west to California, to lead the life of a devoted wife and mother. She poured her heart into family and relationships, touching everyone who knew her with kindness and compassion. Whether as a secretary, a worshipper, a nanny, friend, wife, mother, grandmother, JoEtta always had room in her heart for everyone. She is an example of love to live by. We will forever cherish our precious years together, and will live each day with memories of her in our hearts.
