Jenny G Chow, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25. However, her
positive and caring spirit remains alive inside all who knew her. Raised in
Poughkeepsie, New York, Jenny earned her undergraduate degree from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute, majoring in mechanical engineering. After four years working for
Westinghouse in Pittsburgh, PA, Jenny decided to make a career switch and attended
the UCLA School of Law, where she became a Managing Editor of the UCLA Law
Review. Following law school graduation, Jenny settled down in the Bay Area with her
family and worked as an intellectual property attorney, spending the majority of her
career at Siemens Healthcare before moving to Varian at the beginning of 2022.

When not at work or tirelessly caring for her family, Jenny was selfless in giving her time
to others. Her many volunteering roles included serving as a Court Appointed Special
Advocate for foster children; championing a project to refurbish discarded strollers to be
given to families in transition; and teaching disadvantaged children, for whom English
was a second language, how to read.

Jenny's favorite leisure activities included listening to classical music, traveling and
trying new recipes. She particularly enjoyed accepting plants--many of them struggling--
from friends and neighbors, and then nursing them to good health and propagating
them. The immediate family she leaves behind will maintain her beautiful garden and
potted plants as a tribute to her.

Jenny is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Loren; their twin boys Dylan and
Tyler; her parents, Hsien and Jane Ko; her brother and sister-in-law Andrew and
Christine Ko; and niece and nephew Naomi and Elliott Ko.

A private event celebrating Jenny's life will be held in Los Altos, California on August 27,
2022.
