Obituary of Jeanne Elizabeth Jackson Gehrung
Jeanne Elizabeth, daughter of Harvey Lee Jackson and Hazel Elwood, was born in Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska. She lived in Beatrice, Nebraska until she was 12 years old and then moved to Southern California with her parents. She attended Emerson Kr. High in Westwood, California and then on to University High in West Los Angeles. She attended college at DeAnza College. She was united in marriage with Franklin Albert Lesher, Sr. and to this union Richard Lee was born. Both preceded her in death. She was united into marriage on 9 May 1948 to Ernest Cameron Gehrung and to this union Danny Cameron Gehrung, Sr., and David Ernest Gerung. Her husband and children preceded her in death. Her family moved to Cupertino, California area in 1962 with Cam's job offer with Lockheed. Jeanne is survived by her grandchildren: Sherry, Sandra, Gina, and Danny Gehrung, Jr. and great grandchildren. She is also survived b y her Aunt Bessie Elwood Carter and her cousins. She was retired from Lockheed in Sunnyvale, California where she worked at the "Blue Cube" as a Senior Administrator until her retirement. Jeanne accepted her Lord at First Christian Church in Beatrice, Nebraska with her cousin, Harry Elwood. She was a member or the Crosswalk Church in Sunnyvale, California. She was welcomed into her Lord's arms on June 22, 2014. She was also a member of the Altos View Alphas Club. Jeanne faced many struggles and traumas in her life and always called herself a "Survivor". Services will be announced.
