Jean Young Atangan, 73, of Sunnyvale, CA, passed away on November 17, 2022 after a long battle with Diabetes.

Jean Young Atangan was born on September 7, 1949 to Russ and Josefina Young in Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines. After Jean graduated from Avellena National School, she went on to study Nursing at Southern Island Medical University. After graduating with a degree in nursing, she began a long career as a nurse with various companies, reaffirming her compassion to care for others.  She immigrated to the United states in 1979.

In 1993, Jean met her devoted husband Florine Atangan and began their blended family together.

She is survived by her husband, Florine,  son Adrian (Gladys) , daughter Jeannette (Ed), step-children Marie Fritzie, Marie Kris, Jadd, and Gabbie, grandson Alexander.   She is also survived by brothers Joey (Madeline) and John (Jocelyn).

She is also remembered as a fond aunt to Ian Paul, Neil (Kristine), Miljean (Lorenzo), Jade, and Jonah.

Services will be held at Spangler Mortuary, Sunnyvale on December 3, 2022 from 3:00 – 9:00 pm.
