This obituary is Janet’s legacy, not recognition from Stanford for over 45 years as a nurse, nor appreciation from highbrow cultural institutions for her donations. She will be remembered by a few acquaintances and by her only surviving family member for her selfish career dedication and irresponsible care for herself, her dogs, and the writer. RIP
