We are blessed and most thankful for the life of Jane Strom, who passed away on December 10,

2017.

Jane Ellen Botting was born on February 2, 1954, to Geraldine (Korzinek) and Robert Botting in

Racine, Wisconsin, and graduated from St. Catherine's High School. She moved to California in

1979 to experience life without harsh winters and quickly fell in love with her new state as well

as the climate. Jane then pursued a business career, working first at Rockwell International in

Orange County before relocating to work at Palo Alto-based Varian Associates as an

administrative assistant.

In 1988 she married Roger Strom. They made their home in Los Altos, California. They were

blessed with three wonderful sons. While raising her family, she graduated from Cañada

College with an Associates' degree in interior design.

Jane was warm, had a bright wit, and had many friends over the years. She was brilliant with

interior design, sewing, and quilting, an expert with fabrics, colors, textures, and patterns. She

identified herself as a "friend in fabric" and was a proud member of the American Society of

Interior Designers (ASID), a professional design organization. She loved nature and the outdoors

and was active in her community as an Art Docent. Most of all, she loved her three "handsome"

sons, Erik, Alec, and Zach.

Alzheimer's Disease entered Jane's life at an early age, and she fought a valiant 11-year battle

against this difficult disease. Her family is better for her presence in their lives and mourns her

passing.

Jane is survived by her sons Erik Strom, Alec "A.J." Strom, and Zach Strom, and former husband,

Roger Strom. She is also survived by her siblings, Jeannine (Richard) Krajnak, Greg (Jim Dehne)

Botting, Barbara (Paul) Ruesch, Jon (Mary) Botting, and James (Patricia Olson) Botting.
