Obituary of Ivan J. Vojvoda II

Ivan J Vojvoda, a longtime resident of Los Altos and a current resident of Sunnyvale passed away peacefully on Saturday December 15th. Ivan was an avid duck hunter along with his constant companion, his dog Sammie. In addition to duck hunting, he spent many hours fishing and crabbing in Half Moon Bay. In addition to duck hunting in California, he enjoyed hunting in Eastern Washington and fishing in Oregon, Washington and Alaska. Many hours were spent cheering on this favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers along with watching his niece and nephews playing sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan J. and Doris Vojvoda of Los Altos. Ivan leaves behind his daughter Nicola A. Hardy, Son-in-law Damian Hardy, Granddaughter Janelle Hardy, Brothers Joe Vojvoda, Robert Vojvoda, Sister Lynette Sonnichsen, Brother in law Dan Sonnichsen, Nephews Cory Vojvoda, Kyle Vojvoda, Andrew Sonnichsen, and Niece, Katelyn Sonnichsen. He will be missed but never forgotten. Friends and family are invited to attend a service at Spangler Mortuary, located at 399 South San Antonio Road, Los Altos, CA 94022 on Thursday, December 20th at 7:00pm. The viewing hours are from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. Burial will be held at sea at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donation to California Waterfowl at www.calwaterfowl.org/memorial-giving.
