Obituary of Hannah Hansel Feneron
Hannah (Hansel) Feneron June 25, 1947 to November 19, 2011 Hannah was born in Canton, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward and Laddie Hansel. She graduated from Glenwood High School in Canton and had a B.A. (Classics) and M.A. (Ancient Greek) from Stanford University. She worked as a foreign language translator for Leo Kanner Associates from 1972 to 1985 at which time she bought the company from the previous owner, Leo Kanner, and owned and managed the company until shortly before her passing. For the past 19 years she has lived in Los Altos Hills. She was an active member of Foothills Congregational Church, teaching church school for many years and organizing the book sale room at the annual church rummage sale. Besides her love for books, she was an avid SF Giants fan and a pet lover. She is survived by her daughter, Olwen (Wendy) Feneron of Cupertino and her sister and brother in law Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Micciche of North Canton, OH. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 on December 7, 2011 at the Foothills Congregational Church, 461 Orange Avenue Los Altos, CA 94022-3527. In lieu of flowers the family has requested Memorial Donations be made in Hannah's memory to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741.
