Obituary of Grace Mohler Severance

Grace Mohler Severance was born September 19, 1917 in Lexington, Virginia. Daughter of Frank and Dora Mohler. Grace was the last survivor of nine children. She married Maurice Severance May of 1946 in Santa Barbara. They met at Washington and Lee University after his return from active duty in the South Pacific, where she was running the PX. They were married for 46 years. Survivors are daughter, Bonnie Bardenhagen; two grandsons Bobby (wife Julie) of Vallejo and Dan of Maui; two great-grandchildren Auggie and Josie of Vallejo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband, Maurice and son-in-law, Robert Bardenhagen. Visitation will be held on May 23rd from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Spangler Mortuary, 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave., Sunnyvale. Services will be on May 31st at 11:00am at Spangler Mortuary in Sunnyvale, 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
