Obituary of Gerd Lien
Gerd was born in Trondheim Norway to Birger and Gunhild. Married Erling Lien in 1952 eventually moving to the United States where they raised their sons. Gerd was a Montecito Preschool Teacher, a 33 year Volunteer at El Camino Hospital, a Member of Nordmanns-Forbundet (Norwegian Federation), and Alto-View Alpha. Gerd was a true teacher in humanity and selfless in her kindness and generosity towards all those she met. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Erling, Sons Karl (Laura), Per (Cynthia), Grandson Brendan, Brother Birger (Karen), extended family and friends. Know that your light, wisdom, kindness, and love will forever shine upon those you have left behind. Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Friday August 10, 2012 Spangler Mortuary 399 South San Antonio Road, Los Altos. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
