Obituary of Gary R. Rutherford

Gary R. Rutherford passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 30, 2014, at his home, in Los Altos where he lived most of his life. He was a graduate of Los Altos High School, and worked for Jack Dymond Construction Company until he retired and was able to enjoy his cabin in Pinecrest, Calif., and fishing in the Stanislaus River. Gary was the son of Robert and Viola Rutherford, now deceased. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Dana Rutherford; his sister, Becky Silva and brother-in-law, Robert, of Hawaii; brother Bill Rutherford and sister-in-law Judy of Aptos; brother Mike Rutherford and sister-in-law Josephine of North Carolina; and Don Rutherford and sister-in-law Wendy, of Idaho; step-father Bruce Hartman; step-mother Inez Rutherford; step-sisters Debbie and Cindy Embody; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Karen and Dave Jessen, several nephews and a niece. A memorial in celebration of Gary's life will be held on January 21, 2015, at 12 p.m., at the home of David and Karen Jessen, 10435 Berkshire Drive, Los Altos Hills, Ca.94024.
