Obituary of Gary Ikeya

Gary passed away peacefully on June 3, 2017 at the age of 78 with his family at his side. He was born in Alliance, Nebraska and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1956. Gary moved with his wife Darlene to Sunnyvale, California in 1967 when he started his career with United Airlines. He was extremely proud of his family and always looked forward to time spent together. He was a father and friend to many and will be remembered for his loving heart, his gentle spirit and his charming disposition that drew people to him.
Gary will be missed by his faithful wife Darlene, devoted children Cari (Chris), Rae Ann, and Brian (Margaret), treasured grandchildren Alicia (Josh), Andrew, Tani, Matthew, Claire, Michael, Megan and Emma, and precious great-grandchildren Jayden and Arla.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11 a.m., at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 125 E. Arques Ave, Sunnyvale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sunnyvale Community Services.
