Edward was born in San Jose, California December 15, 1946 to Lucille Hooper Lockwood and Frank Seymour Lockwood. After graduating Sunnyvale High School in 1965, he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed on board the USS Coral Sea and the USS Kitty Hawk during the Viet Nam war. Upon his return, he apprenticed and obtained journeyman status in machining. In his career he worked for Icore, Acurex, and Lockheed as a machinist and an R&D machinist. Ed retired from Lockheed in 1995 when the effects of Multiple Sclerosis no longer enabled him to work. Edward was a warm, loving husband and father with a wicked sense of humor and a tender heart. He loved 1960s classic cars, fishing, hiking the outdoors particularly in the redwood forests, and all things latte.
