Obituary of Edward E. Hills
Edward Hills, born November 9, 1928 in Norwood MA, left us on April 7, 2012 at his home in Los Altos CA. He was the son of Philip and Loretta Hills. He is survived by his wife, Helene Hills, sister, Elizabeth Anne Eggers, nephews, Jock and Philip Eggers and his feline companion, Naomi. Ed was a 1950 graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem PA. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. He worked in the electrical supply business before going into Real Estate. A special time in his youth was working at the Norwood Airport and piloting his two-seater Taylor Cub. He continued his interest in flying during his years at Lehigh. Ed was a donor at the Stanford Blood Center where he made 287 donations, mostly platelets. Ed's long time best friend, Jack Hammond, has written: "He was the most honest and ethical person that I have ever known. Often difficult to "get close to", he was always there for you when you were in need, but absolutely refused to accept your thanks for his help. He was a very unusual (and wonderful) guy. Sherie and I will miss him." No services are planned.
