Obituary of Edna Valmassy Cunningham

Born in Detroit, MI, she spent her childhood in the region of Veneto, Italy before returning to the U.S. where she was raised in San Francisco. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John (Jack) Cunningham. Devoted mother to Kathleen Cunningham Gruenstein (Paul) and Mary Cunningham Chadwick (George). Grandmother to Jaclyn Gruenstein, Lauren Salveson (Tim), Austin, Taylor, and Elizabeth Chadwick. Great-grandmother to Halle and Taylor Salveson. Sister to the late Louis Valmassy (Gloria), Aunt to Dr. Ronald Valmassy (Helen). Sister-in-law to Lucille McGrady and Rosemary Jones and many nephews and nieces on the East Coast. Private services were held with entombment at Gates of Heaven Cemetery. The family prefers donations to Lucille Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, 725 Welch Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304 and/or Pathways Hospice Foundation, 585 North Mary Avenue, Sunnyvale CA 94085.
