Obituary of Dorlene Maillo

Dorlene (Pozas) Maillo passed away on Monday, December 1st, surrounded by family, after her battle with cancer. She was 78 years old. She was born and lived her entire life in Sunnyvale, CA. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1953. She loved life and selflessly cared for those around her; her lively personality and wit will be missed by all. She loved to entertain, spend time with her family and travel in her RV with the Cervantes Trailer Club. Dorlene enjoyed serving as secretary for both the Sociedad Cervantes Espanola Club and the Catolicas Womens Lodge. Dorlene is survived by her loving husband, George Maillo, to whom she was married for 58 years. She is also survived by her two sons, George and Jeff and her 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Jennifer, Katlyn, Lindsay and Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her father, Emile Pozas, mother, Angie (Coehlo) Pozas and younger brother, Rodney Pozas. There will be a celebration of life in her honor on Saturday, December 6th at 10:30am until 2:00pm at the Hilton Garden Inn at 840 E. El Camino Real in Mountain View. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the cancer charity of your choice. We'll be sharing memories of her life.
