Obituary of Dona Elizabeth Frakes

Dona Elizabeth Frakes passed away peacefully at her daughter's home with family by her side. She was born in Hillsboro, Illinois and lived for 60 years in Los Altos and most currently in the wonderful care of assisted living at Saratoga Retirement Community. Dona married her high school sweetheart Paul in 1942. They were married for 60 wonderful years before Paul passed away in 2002. Dona had two daughters, Sharon Kathleen Pierona who preceded her in death 21 years ago and her surviving daughter Eloise Jeanine Orrell of Saratoga. Dona is also survived by grandchildren Andy Peirona, David Peirona, Julie McKnight, Lisa Orrell; great grandchildren Megan, Ryan, Ashley and Ava, and loving son-in-law Steve Orrell and his sons Darren and Jason and grandsons Dexter and Hunter. Dona was an active member of the Odd Fellows Rebekah Lodge and Los Altos Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She was always so generous and gave her time and energy to the church and lodge philanthropies. Her beautiful smile and adorable laugh will be always be missed. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Los Altos Lutheran Church, 460 South El Monte Avenue, Los Altos, California. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Los Altos Lutheran Church or Olive Branch Rebekah Lodge, P.O Box 928, Redwood City.
