Obituary of Dolores Himan
Age 91, longtime resident of Sunnyvale for 89 years. Born in Honolulu, HI to her loving "Ma and Pa", Edwardo and Antonia Carrillo, originally from Spain. Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Himan, sister Mary Cruz, brothers Eddie, Manuel, Willie, Tony and Joey Carrillo. Survived by sister Connie Magin, brothers Richard (Judy), Ralph (Rosemarie) Carrillo and sister-in-law Barbara Carrillo. Also survived by her Godchildren Paulette, Timothy and Janelle and 4 generations of nieces and nephews. Auntie Kernal was the most kind, loving beautiful person, always there to help her family, especially her Ma who she loved and missed so much. Family was the most important thing to her. She loved everyone, even her special pups Creampuff 1 & 2 and Cindy. She met many dear friends working at Shuckles cannery and then at HP. Kernal loved to entertain having many dinner gatherings at her home with family and friends. She loved to cook, decorate and sew her own clothes. The family would like to thank the many caregivers that watched over her, Elizabeth, Indai, Marilyn, staff at HMC, Sunnyvale Healthcare and Pathways Hospice of Sunnyvale. Family and Friends are invited to a Rosary at Spangler Mortuary, 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave., Sunnyvale on Tuesday May, 19th at 6 PM. Mass at St Martins Church, 590 Central Ave., Sunnyvale on Wednesday, May 20th at 10 AM followed by Burial at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Auntie loved her birthplace of Hawaii, so please wear your Aloha attire.
