Diane Lynn
Zucchero
August 23, 2019
Resident of Palo Alto, CA
Diane L. Zucchero was born to Josephine Vescio Johnson and Einar Johnson in Tacoma, Washington, on September 28, 1948. She resided there until she moved to Northern California in 1975 and was married to her husband John until 1990. During that time, she resided in Saratoga and later in Los Altos where she had two beautiful children.
Diane loved the outdoors and was an accomplished skier, spending many winter days in North Lake Tahoe and skiing at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. She fondly remembered working at John's rep firm where a fellow named Steve would occasionally visit to pick up memory products for his upstart company Apple Computer. Diane worked in retail sales, using her artistic nature to satisfy her customers' needs in areas of contemporary clothing and later with an eclectic assortment of products. While at Bloomingdales, Diane developed strong relationships in the Stanford/Palo Alto community that lasted a lifetime. While working at Stanford Mall, she trained as the representative for Eileen Fisher in New York City, in order to best serve her loyal clientele. Diane was always interested in learning new skills and developed her talents at the Gene Juarez Academy, securing her license to practice cosmetology in the State of Washington.
Diane is predeceased by her mother and father, her son Michael and brother Danny. She is survived by her sister Debra L. Risko and daughter Gioia Zucchero, who along with John was by her mother's side in her final moments. The family wishes to thank the countless people who engaged in her care over the past several years.
