Obituary of David Alan Diaz

David Alan Diaz, 66, of Morgan Hill, CA, entered into eternal peace with his family by his side on November 12, 2015.

David is survived by his wife Patti, daughters Stephanie Zahalka (Keith) and Julie Felix (Robert), his grandchildren, Nina, Ryleigh and Jay, his father Henry and mother Madeleine, and brothers Mark and Derrick, along with his many Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.

David was born in Palo Alto, CA to Henry and Madeleine Diaz on March 31, 1949. In 1969, he joined the United States Marine Corp and in 1972, he became a Public Safety Officer for Sunnyvale Public Safety. He retired in 2002 and his passion for law enforcement never left him, he then became the driving instructor for the Police Academy.

He loved to be with his family at all times. They were his pride and joy.
David loved to travel with the love of his life of 42 years, Patti, and enjoyed purchasing many art pieces, for their home, while traveling. Deer hunting, annually, with his father and Uncle was one of his most favorite things to do. He was also a wine enthusiast and started a Wine Club amongst his closest friends. His family was his life and he has documented every moment with pictures that we can look at for many years to come.

David may have lost his battle with cancer, but he fought hard and his legacy will never be forgotten.
