Obituary of Daniel Sintzenich Stagen

Daniel (Sonny) Sintzenich Stagen passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 8:25am. Born on June 13, 1938. Daniel was the eldest son of Daniel and Isabel Stagen of Quezon City, Philippines.

On September, 23, 1967, he married Emma Diaz in Chicago, Illinois where they lived from 1964 to 1982 before moving to Milpitas, California in October of 1982.

He worked for Cook County Hospital, Fantus Eye Clinic in Chicago for many years until they moved to California, then joined the Santa Clara Eye Medical Clinic in San Jose.

He is survived by his wife Emma Diaz-Stagen, sons Karl and wife Jennifer Barnhill of Milpitas, and Earl and wife Careen of Kapolei, Hawaii, grandsons Payton Jordan, Ryne Maddox, and Sayer Kane.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Isabel, and brother Royden Stagen

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a consideration of a donation in Daniel's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The viewings will be at Spangler Mortuary, 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave., Sunnyvale on Friday, June 24th from 1:30pm to 5pm with a blessing being done at 4:30pm by Father Joseph Page. Services will be held on Saturday, June 25th from 10am to 2pm with a blessing being done at 10:30am by Father Andy Ligot at Spangler Mortuary, Sunnyvale.
