Daniel Linn Reilly, 74, of Mountain View, California, passed away peacefully July 27, 2022, at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View.

Dan was born January 12, 1948, in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Robert J. and Lois (McDonald) Reilly and was raised with seven siblings in Kansas and Colorado. He graduated in 1966 from Regis High School, Denver, and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder. He moved to San Francisco where he owned and operated Pacific Auto Upholstery for many years. In 1997, he earned his B.S. degree in computer science from San Francisco State University. He was a software engineer and later a software engineering manager at Altera Corporation, which was acquired by Intel.

His life was filled with a variety of interests. In high school, he was a Putt-Putt® miniature golf pro and, along with his brother Craig, he competed in the Rocky Mountain Professional Putters Association. As an adult, he enjoyed playing pool, skiing, rock climbing, ballroom dancing, and piloting gliders. He loved all types of music, British mysteries, books, and traveling.

Dan is survived by his brothers Craig and Tim, and sisters Marilyn Reilly, Peggy Ondrak, Joanne Krieg, and Judy Waite. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary.

A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 5 at Spangler Mortuary, 799 Castro Street, Mountain View, California. He will be buried near his parents at Fairview Cemetery, Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
