Obituary of Christopher Michael Hutcheson

Christopher Michael Hutcheson (Hutch), age 39, passed peacefully in theearlymorning of 16 April 2020, while sleeping next to his beloved wife of almost 15 years and life partner of 22 years. Chris and Krysia were high school sweethearts, as were his parents and grandparents: G Dan and Janet; Jerry and Lynda. They werealways faithful to each other with a love so deep that Chris became a Catholic for her family. Together they raised a beautiful family, with a daughter and son,Anna and Russell, aged 9 and 7.

Chris's death mirrored his life in that he was famous for having a big heart, which is what failed him that night. It was more than his smile and likability, as the many pictures we had taken showed. We were quickly overwhelmed by his many friends contacting us with stories of how he had helped them, whether fixing a vehicle, welding a neighbor's broken table, trimming trees, and on and on.

He was mechanically gifted from his earliest days, with his first love being trains. He would eventually receive a diesel engineering degree from Shasta College and become a master mechanic. More recently, Chris had meticulously torn down a Harley to bare bones, overhauled everything, and got it running only a few weeks before. As a crane operator, he was proud to have been a part of having built many of the buildings of great Silicon Valley companies, such as the Apple spaceship. He inherited a green thumb and love of gardening that kept us in tomatoes throughout the summer months. He loved the outdoors. But most of all, he loved his children and would not have left them for the world.

To Christopher, my loving boy

With the biggest of hearts

You were my little baby boy

And I shared all your fears.

Such joy...

To hold you in my arms

And kiss away your tears.

To ride together

The trains you loved so dearly.

To chase you through the hills and forests

On separate motorcycles,

yet always together.

To brave the trails of Death Valley.

Your steady hand at the wheel of a Jeep.

To share that last night...

of joyous family celebrations.

So many plansfor us to share...

our amazing experiences

with Anna and Russell

But now you're gone.

And there's only pain.

And nothing I can do.

And I don't want to live this life

If I can't live for you.

But live, I must

For living for you now means

Caring for those left behind after...

your heavenly Father wrapped ...

his loving arms around you that night.

To help you through theordeal you faced

as he took you through the valley of death.

We will care for Krystyna,Anna and Russell.

Who you loved so much.

And guidethem through a new future

that they must face...

without you.

Our love will never die.

And you will be in our hearts

to our dying days

Until we meet again,

Your loving father...
