Obituary of Charles Joseph Donaher

Charles Joseph Donaher, 90, passed away peacefully at the VA in Palo Alto on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. He was born in Yonkers, NY to Charles and Ruth Morrissey Donaher on April 25, 1923. He is survived by his loving wife Riette McCue Donaher of 67 years and their daughters, Harriette Moldenhauer (Deceased), Arlene Donaher and Deborah Wood. Their Grandchildren Terri Cummings, Trisha Advincula, Brandon Montellato, Ryan Wood and Great Grandchild Caitlyn Advincula. Charles was preceded in death by his sister Alice Redmond. Charles served his country in the US Marine Corp. in WWII in the South Pacific. He worked for American Standard in NY & Kentucky, then GE in Kentucky. He joined IBM in NY in 1956. IBM transferred the family to CA in 1965. When he left IBM he worked for various high tech companies, until he started his own company AMACON in 1976, AMACON was purchased by Thomas & Betts in 1978, he continued at T&B until 1985. Charles then went to work for Rohm, that was acquired by IBM, where he retired. Charles has numerous patents that were issued between 1979 & 1983.
